Are you under the impression that God blesses us even when we do not hear Him and obey Him? The Bible does not teach this.

The one who hears and remembers and does the work of The Word of God will be blessed in what he does. The blessing manifests upon the faithful completion of the working of The Word of God. “Faith without works is dead.”

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.” (James 1:19–26, NKJV)

Hearing rightly The Word of God produces faith. Faith produces repentance. Repentance produces God’s way of believing, speaking, thinking and living in the earth. The Word of God is in our heart and in our mouth so it changes our lives.

We are not saying that you aren’t saved if you haven’t stopped sinning. We are saying, if you believe and abide in God’s words, you start speaking and acting like Christ Jesus. You take on the language and culture of heaven, which is love.

Do you want the blessing of God to manifest in everything you do? Keep His words in your heart and in your mouth so that you observe it and do it. Then you will make your way prosperous and you will have good success. This is what The Bible teaches.
