What has God made man to be and do?

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”” (Genesis 1:26–28, NKJV)

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,” (Psalm 8:3–6, NKJV)

Did God make man as a complex biology experiment that would allow God to get Himself into the earth as a man? Was man made nothing more than a biological robot? I reject that as a possibility.

Man was made to be an extension of God Himself - Family. God created a garden and then God put His son Adam in the garden to tend it and to be fruitful and multiply. God gave His son Adam dominion authority over the garden, and Adam was supposed to make the garden fill the earth. God’s “promise” to the earth is that it shall become a garden like Eden. The earth still yearns for the manifestation of the sons of God who will make this promise come true. (Romans 8)

Have you not heard that Adam was God’s first son? The genealogy of Jesus In Luke 3 goes all the way back to “Adam, the son of God.” “the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.” (Luke 3:38, NKJV)

Man was made to be sons of God with dominion authority who turn the earth into a Garden of Eden.
