Seeking Jesus First - May 27, 2023
In the spirit or heavenly realm, we are seated with and in Christ. How is this possible? We are triune beings. We are spiritual beings with a soul living in a body. In the spirit realm, we are in Christ and Christ is in us. We are in a place of rest…
“Seated with Him” is a place of rest, acceptance, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. As spiritual beings with our faith in Christ Jesus, we never leave this holy place of rest. We are complete in Him. We are forever loved, holy, righteous and accepted. In this place of rest, we have received every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Every spoken blessing is in Christ Yes. If it is in Him, it is in us. Every word of God is spirit, life and blessing to us.
What is true in the spirit must be walked out in the earth. Once we have our spiritual identity which never changes in Christ Jesus, we have the privilege of manifesting in the earth as sons of God. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” (John 1:12, NKJV) “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:19, NKJV)
We have the privilege of walking out the spiritual truths in the earth. Read these “Walk” Scriptures.
“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4, NKJV)
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1, NKJV)
“that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” (Romans 8:4, NKJV)
“Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.” (Romans 13:13, NKJV)
“for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?” (1 Corinthians 3:3, NKJV)
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV)
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.” (2 Corinthians 10:3, NKJV)
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16, NKJV)
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25, NKJV)
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10, NKJV)
“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,” (Ephesians 4:1, NKJV)
“And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” (Ephesians 5:2, NKJV)
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8, NKJV)
“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,” (Ephesians 5:15, NKJV)
“that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;” (Colossians 1:10–11, NKJV)
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6–7, NKJV)
“Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.” (Colossians 4:5–6, NKJV)
“as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.” (1 Thessalonians 2:11–12, NKJV)
“Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.” (1 Thessalonians 4:1–8, NKJV)
“that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.” (1 Thessalonians 4:12, NKJV)
“If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:6–7, NKJV)
“But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just las He walked.” (1 John 2:5–6, NKJV)
“This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.” (2 John 6, NKJV)
