If all of the promises of God are in Christ Jesus, Yes and Amen, what must we do to inherit them? Why must we do anything to inherit them? Why don’t they just happen? I mean, they are GOD’s PROMISES. He is THE ONE who promised to watch over them and keep them.

Always remember, God is raising up loving sons and faithful kings. This means that He desires to train and to co-labor. He does not desire to do it all for you as though you were an invalid. He makes a promise while the path is still dark. Then we walk with Him by faith and the path grows brighter and brighter.

In Luke 18, Jesus speaks of a woman with persistent faith and asks the question, “When I return, will I find persistent faith in the earth?” Heb. 6:12 speaks of not being slothful, but diligent in faith and patience to inherit the promises. Even salvation is the result of our own believing. We inherit salvation by faith and patience. Guess what! We inherit the promises by faith and patience. Patience is also known as perseverance and determination. We find, in patience and faith, the concept of “striking the ground”, “tarrying”, “self control”, “praying day and night” until we see the outcome that was promised.

Your victory is ahead. Keep moving toward it. Don’t give up on God’s promises. Don’t grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap, if you do not lose faith. Pray with all manner of prayer and supplication. Don’t stop believing.
